SGT. PEPPERS LONELY HEATS CLUB
BAND

The name Sgt. Pepper's Band is actually an idea taken from somewhere in history where a
man was able to take the place of another man without anyone catching on and noticing.
CLUES FROM THE FRONT COVER:
- It looks like there is a freshly dug grave in front of the people.
- The yellow flowers under the Beatles are in the shape of a bass guitar, Paul played the
Bass.
- Notice that the three sticks on the yellow flowers are the strings of the bass. The
three strings represent the three Beatles left.
- The doll on the right, that has on the black, white and red striped shirt, she has a car
on her lap with a red interior. This is a model of the same car that Paul was driving on
the day of the accident.
- If you look closely the yellow flowers also spell out "PAUL?" Like asking
where Paul is?
- If you look below the doll there is a vase with flowers in it and if you look closely it
looks as though it represents a white car with flames coming out of it, going over a
cliff.
- Right below the "T" in Beatles there is the Hindu God Shive, "The
Destroyer" and it's hands are pointing to Paul.
- If you look at the Beatles behind the drum, Paul is standing forward, and the others are
facing on a 3D way, Paul looks like he is a cardboard cut out.
- Paul is the only Beatle holding a black instrument, black usually represents death.
- Again, there is an open palm above Paul's head. (ancient symbol meaning death)
- Look at the wax figures of the Beatles to the left, Ringo is looking down in the grave
as if he is sad, Paul has his hand on his shoulder to comfort him.
- Take a small mirror (the back of a CD works good too) and place it in the middle of the
"Lonely Hearts" on the drum to split it in half. Read the combined words on the
drum and the mirror, they will read "1 ONE 1 X HE | DIE." This means that 1 plus
one plus 1 equals 3. The "X" crosses out Paul, because he is not there anymore,
and the arrow between "HE" and "DIE" point directly to Paul.

CLUES FROM THE INSIDE AND BACK COVER:
- The Beatles are facing forward and if you look on Paul's arm the patch looks like it
reads "OPD" Officially Pronounced Dead. (the angle that the photo was taken
makes it look like "OPD" but really reads "OPP" Ontario Provincial
Police).
- Paul is facing backwards showing that he is not the real Paul.
- The lyrics "With Out You" are coming out of the side of Paul's head. (from
song title: Within You, Without You)
- George's thumb (in the red) is pointing at the words "Wednesday morning at 5
o'clock," the time of Paul's death.
- In the picture Paul is a little bigger and taller meaning that he is rising up or
ascending.
George's (red) hand makes an "L," John's (green) makes a
"V," and Ringo's makes an "E," and Paul is missing he would have been
the "O" spelling "LOVE."

LYRICS CLUES:
'SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND'
"Let
me introduce to you the one and only Billy Shears"
Meaning - Paul was supposed to be replaced by William Campbell. Billy Shears is
just a play on words and John Lennon did that a lot, Billy Shears --> Billy'S hears
--> Billy's Here. Like as thought they were introducing William Campbell to the world.
'SHE'S LEAVING HOME'
"Wednesday
morning at five o'clock"
Meaning - This is the time that the accident occurred.
'LOVELY RITA'
"When
I caught a glimpse of Rita "
Meaning - Paul was looking a Rita instead of the road when he wrecked.
'GOOD MORNING, GOOD MORNING'
"Nothing
to do to save his life" "You are on you're own, you are in the street"
Meaning - Referring to the car accident.
"People running
around, it's five o'clock"
Meaning - Again referring to the time and the accident.
"Watching the
skirts, you start to flirt, now you're in gear"
Meaning - Again refers to Paul watching the lovely Rita. "In Gear" refers
to driving.
'A DAY IN THE LIFE'
"He
blew his mind out in a car, he didn't notice that the lights had changed"
Meaning - Describes more about the accident.
